Description
On November 10th and 12th, the Executive Health and Safety Council will be holding the 10th annual “BC Safety Charter Round Table”. Signatories from across the province will learn, teach and share their experiences with each other on how to build stronger safety cultures and help make BC the safest province in Canada to work in.
This year’s agenda will be similar to previous years, with a panel discussion, round table topics, and a powerful keynote presentation. The event will be capped with a “virtual networking” event and presentations.
The Board of Directors is proud to announce that Mark Collins, President and CEO of BC Ferries will be the Keynote speaker. Mark will be talking about his foremost safety concern – complacency. He will discuss how BC Ferries took the lessons learned from the tragic sinking of the Queen of the North in 2006 and has leveraged them to grow and modify the company’s safety culture. After the presentation, there will be a Q&A with attendees.
