AGM and Guest Speaker in recognition of the Day of Mourning – Apr 27, 2023

Join with other members for a “Virtual AGM and Guest Speaker” on Thursday April 27th.  This date is the day before the Day of Mourning, an important time to remember workplace injuries.  Following the AGM, Russel Claus from Threads of Life will share his story of a workplace injury that changed his life forever.

Russell currently resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he works in occupational health and safety. Originally from Victoria, BC, he completed his Master’s degree at McMaster University where his studies and thesis focused on worker safety in the resource sector.
In the summer of 2010, Russell suffered a workplace injury that changed his life forever. This led him to join the Threads of Life Speakers Bureau in 2020 to share his experience and support the mission of Threads of Life: to promote the elimination of life-altering workplace injuries, illnesses and deaths.
