Risk Management Basics – Aug 11, 2022

Managing risks in your workplace involves thinking about what might cause harm to your workers and determining whether you are taking reasonable steps to prevent that harm from happening.  Suzana Prpic and Dave McBride from WorkSafeBC will provide foundational information on this inspectional approach launched for 2022, outlining the basic steps in the approach: understanding the level of risk in the workplace, implementing appropriate measures, communicating policies and protocols to all workers, and monitoring and updating measures regularly.

Suzana Prpic is a Senior Manager in Prevention Field Services at WorkSafeBC.  She has been in this role since December 2020, after building and managing Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and Security management systems within the energy industry for over 20 years.

 

 

 

 

 

Dave McBride

 

Dave McBride is the Senior Manager of OHS Consultation & Education Services at WorkSafeBC.  He has held management roles at WorkSafeBC for 22 years; his previous position was as the manager of the Certificate of Recognition Program and prior to that he was a Manager in the Assessment Department.
