Speaker: Trace Acres
Trace Acres is the program director for Road Safety at Work – a WorkSafeBC-funded Injury Reduction Initiative aimed at reducing injuries and deaths among people who drive for work or work at the roadside. Much of Trace’s career has been spent providing communications, public relations and public affairs counsel and services to some of BC’s highest-profile organizations – the Port of Vancouver, TransLink, BCAA and BC Trucking. Trace is a former journalist, which provided the foundation for the many media interviews he’s given as part of his various duties. Later in his career, he could be found for a period of time working in Okanagan vineyards and winery tasting rooms, pursuing a passion for wine knowledge and education.
Trace holds an MBA, Diploma of Technology in Broadcast Journalism, and a Diploma in Wine and Spirits. He lives in Kelowna where he skis, cycles and golfs, hosts wine tastings for friends, and plays and performs in a singing duo and a rock band.
