What No One Told You About Leading in Health and Safety
Join Angelique Prince, director of Prevention Programs and Services at WorkSafeBC, for a candid, humorous, and insightful discussion focused on OHS leadership. Leading in OHS means being a translator, persuader, strategist, and systems thinker — often all before lunch. Drawing on two decades of experience in health and safety, Angelique will unpack the intricacies of leading in complex systems, where persuasion can sometimes matter more than policy, and being a jack of all trades is a strength. With practical examples, human moments, and (hopefully) a few well-placed laughs, this talk is for those navigating the invisible pressures of modern health and safety leadership. Following the discussion, Angelique will also provide a brief update on behalf of WorkSafeBC.
